A 15-year-old teenage boy was hit by a car in downtown Boise Friday night. The 19-year-old driver of the car did not stop and sped away. The accident left the teenager in a coma all weekend. The driver of the car was later arrested at her home.

Prosecutors say Silva hit Aaron while driving faster than the posted speed limit on Front Street. A witness saw a vehicle going about 45-50 miles per hour, and failed to stop after striking Aaron.

"It would be bad enough if it was an accident, but it becomes more than that when she took off," said Dawn.

Prosecutors say after the hit and run, Silva left her car at the intersection of 24th and Woodlawn in Boise's North End.

She has been charged with leaving the scene of an accident. The victim is still in critical condition.
