High Speed Accident Kills Man

A man was killed when the car he was driving was hit by another vehicle, while he was attempting to cross an intersection.

The accident happened at Columbia and Meridian (Highway 69) roads. A man was driving a red Honda that was hit on the driver's side in a direct impact by a Dodge Durango. The force of the impact caused the car to fly a couple hundred feet into a cornfield. The unidentified man was 40-years-old. The woman driving the Durango and her two passengers were not injured. The speed limit of the highway is 55 mph. The police are still investigating the accident.
