Idaho Police Cars to be Less Noticeable

Watch out, serial speeders and dangerous drivers. The Idaho State Police are testing out new, less conspicuous police cruisers to nab driving offenders on the highway. These cars are the same style cruisers currently in use, but they lack a top light bar.

Troopers say drivers tend to be on their best behavior when they see a patrol car, but when the cruisers are less visible there is a lot more aggression on the road.

"They're getting people with high speed coming up from behind. They're also seeing lane change violations. Aggressive driving in general, in terms of cutting people off, flashing their lights and things of that nature," said John Burke, Idaho State Police.
